SRI Instruments
Software Download Site
On this page, you may access all versions of software for our data systems and instruments. Although older versions are available for download, any user with a current PC system should only download and install the PeakSimple 3D for Windows software version. Most of these files are in self-extracting .exe or PkWare .zip file format, and should be copied to a temporary folder on your PC's hard disk drive. In the case of .exe files, once the file has been copied there, run the file name, using Start - Run. The file will self extract into several regular files in the same folder. Locate the install.exe file in that temporary folder and launch it using Start - Run. This will start the installation process for the version of the software that you are placing onto your PC's hard disk drive. Follow all prompts until the software has finished installing itself. Then start the program normally. In the case of .zip files, use pkunzip on your PC to extract the files, then run the setup.exe file to install your new version of PeakSimple 3D software.
Some files are not compressed, such as the .txt files, and the usbview.exe, which is a USB port diagnostic tool, intended for use with our new USB data system. Click on any of the links below to download the software that you desire.
If you are a Netscape user, and experience any difficulty downloading .exe files, please download the desired files using the Internet Explorer browser. Some versions of Netscape attempt to open .exe files, instead of permitting normal download.
CURRENT SRI SOFTWARE
PeakSimple 3D for Windows, disk A 929,140 bytes
PeakSimple 3D for Windows, disk B 650,247 bytes Our most recent software release for Windows, with 3-D display of multiple chromatogram traces. The user may display multiple chromatograms in isometric or perspective renditions and the point of view may be moved to any point in an imaginary sphere around the data. Another new feature added is display of chromatogram thumbnail images when loading existing chromatograms, making it easier to recognize a file that the user wishes to load into PeakSimple. The version number for this release is 2.97. This version is also compatible with Windows '98 / ME / XP. Version release date is November 4, 2002.
This is a complete version - users of previous versions should back up all previous control, component, calibration, temperature, event, and other user created files, in case you need to restore them. This is the same version that will ship on CD with future orders.
Download the .zip file for disk A into a temporary directory / folder, then unZip the file peak3d.zip. Copy the three resulting files to a floppy disk (label it "disk A"), if desired (for installation on a different computer).
Download the .zip file for disk B into another temporary directory / folder, then unZip the file peak3d2.zip. Copy the two resulting files to a second floppy disk (label it "disk B"), if desired (for installation on a different computer). Please note that these two files are Microsoft® revision files, unrelated to PeakSimple 3D, but required by Windows™ for proper operation of our program in the latest Microsoft® Windows™ platforms.
Then run the setup.exe file on disk A to install the new software on the PC. Do not launch the program yet. When the installation finishes, copy the two files on disk B into the directory / folder that you chose to install PeakSimple 3D into (the default is C:\peak3d). Once these files have been copied into that folder, you may launch the program for the first time.
If you have any difficulty with this installation, please call us for assistance.
