The
SPME GC configuration is designed to provide a state of the art, SPME compliant,
general purpose temperature programmable gas chromatograph in a compact
low cost package. The SPME GC is equipped with a heated injector
with a special narrow bore SPME sleeve for use with capillary columns.
The second heated injector is useful for conditioning and cleaning SPME
fibers without disturbing the analysis or depositing contaminants onto
the column. The standard "whisper quiet" built-in air compressor supplies
combustion air for the FID so an air cylinder is not required in most applications.
The optional H2-50 Hydrogen Generator supplies up to 50 ml/min of hydrogen
for use as both carrier gas and FID combustion gas at pressures up to 30
psi. Compressed gas from cylinders may also be used instead of the
built-in gas generators if desired. Nothing could be more convenient than
this GC which requires no gases to operate and which is small enough to
travel with you as airline baggage in its own heavy duty reuseable shipping
container.
