SRI
can supply and install just about any type of column. We like the
metal capillary columns because they are unbreakable, can be coiled to
a smaller diameter, yet cost and work the same as fused silica columns
which can and do break. For some applications, ( gases, freons, water,
etc. )
packed columns
are preferred. The column oven on the SRI 8610C can fit a single 7" column
cage or multiple columns wound on a smaller form. The column oven
on the Model 310 GC can fit a single 4" column cage or multiple columns
on a smaller coil.
The metal capillary columns supplied
by SRI are typically wound on a 3.5" coil form
and are available in a variety
of stationary phases.
